English Language Academy – Language Proficiency Levels
The academic philosophy of English Language Academy (ELA) is based on learning through communication. Our programs emphasize practical language use, student interaction, and real-life communication in English.
To help students learn effectively and progress steadily, each instructional unit is completed on a weekly basis in both grammar and conversation classes. Each unit includes structured course materials, interactive activities, speaking practice, and performance-based assessments.
ELA offers a system of 10 standard language proficiency levels, aligned with international CEFR standards, as well as an extended level program for advanced learners.
- Levels 1–8: Each level is completed in 9 weeks
- Levels 9–10 and Extended Levels: Each level is completed in 13 weeks
Our language proficiency system allows students to progress at a consistent and measurable pace, developing their English skills from beginner to advanced levels.
Instruction includes educational conversations, pair and group work, role-play activities, games, presentations, and real-life communication tasks. These activities help students build confidence and fluency while interacting with classmates from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
Through this communicative and student-centered approach, ELA creates an engaging learning environment that supports both academic success and practical language mastery.

Maximum Program Length and Repetition Policy
Purpose:
This policy ensures that all students are informed of the maximum time allowed to complete the English Language Academy (ELA) Intensive English Program and the rules for repeating levels.
Program Duration:
The Intensive English Program consists of 10 levels. Each level is designed to be completed in approximately 8–9 weeks (2 to 2.5 months). The standard program length is approximately 24 months of continuous study.
Maximum Program Length:
Students must complete the entire program within 30 months from their initial start date, including any repeated levels.
Repetition of Levels:
A student who does not meet the minimum passing criteria for a level may repeat that level once. In exceptional circumstances, a second repetition may be approved by the Program Director.
Consequences of Exceeding Maximum Program Length:
Students who do not complete the program within the maximum time frame will be administratively withdrawn. Re-enrollment may be considered upon review by the Program Director.
